The Black History Month Organizing Committee is a collaboration among organizations in Albuquerque who serve the African-American community. Volunteers from within these organizations are historically coming together to produce an annual slate of activities for Black History Month. This ad hoc committee meets biweekly during the planning season and monthly for the remainder of the year. The Black History Month Organizing Committee is sponsored by the New Mexico Community Foundation (www.nmcf.org) . All donations are tax-deductible charitable contributions. If you are interested in being a part of the committee, please contact us at nmblackhistorymonth@gmail.com or call 505-407-6784
The New Mexico Black History Month Festival is an opportunity to build and strengthen our community from the inside out. African Americans have made important contributions to the state and we believe those contributions are worthy of celebration and recognition. Get involved with us and let’s make a difference in this community. Thank you to everyone who has contributed financial and in-kind resources. I am deeply grateful.
